I've been stranded by the roadside
A dusty cloud disappearing down the road
I walked for miles tryin to find something familiar
Lucky that I had you to ease the load

And it took my wounds a little while to close
The stitches they weren't string enough to hold
When I wandered through the towns I'd been before
It just didn't feel the same

I've wasted time tryin to get my shit together
Except the wind kept blowin everything away
And I couldn't find all the pieces that were missing
What hope had I they would ever be replaced?
